support@terrellaapp.com, where a real person reads it. It helps to include your macOS version, the Terrella version from Terrella ▸ About Terrella, and what you were doing when it went wrong.
That's expected on a first launch, because Terrella starts with nothing in it. To see it working with example data, choose File ▸ Load Seed Graph. That installs a small example graph spanning people, organisations, books, ideas, projects and goals, with the relationships between them. File ▸ Remove Seed Graph takes it out again without touching anything you added yourself.
The search field above the detail pane searches whatever list you're currently in. ⌘K searches the entire graph regardless of where you are.
In a single SQLite file inside the app's sandbox container. View ▸ Reveal Database in Finder will show you exactly where. You can open it with any SQLite tool.
Terrella takes a backup at launch, at most one an hour, and keeps the last ten. File ▸ Back Up Now forces one; File ▸ Reveal Backups in Finder shows them. Each is a complete, consistent database file rather than a copy taken mid-write, so any of them will open.
File ▸ Export Graph writes everything as readable JSON, including entries, relationships and the type vocabulary. Two exports of an unchanged graph are byte-identical, so archives compare cleanly. File ▸ Import Graph reads one back, either merging it into what you have or replacing everything, and it tells you which before it starts.
Optional, and the app works without it. File ▸ Import from Contacts turns each contact into a person, the organisation they work for, and the link between them.
Imports only fill in blanks, so a correction you made by hand is never overwritten. Re-running the import recognises what it created before rather than duplicating it. If you change your mind, File ▸ Remove Imported Contacts removes exactly what the import added and leaves everyone you entered yourself alone.
If macOS never asked for permission, or you declined it, grant it in System Settings ▸ Privacy & Security ▸ Contacts.
macOS 14 or later, on Apple silicon or Intel. There is no iPhone or iPad version yet. Terrella is free, with no subscription and no in-app purchases.
